5 Things To Do In Malaysia To See And Do It All

Malaysia is almost like two countries in one, split in half by the South China Sea. While the peninsula boasts colonial architecture, bustling cities, chilled out islands and misty tea plantations, the Malaysia Borneo is host to wild remote tribes, granite peaks and jungles of orangutans along with some awesome diving. Throughout these two regions, ranges an imposing variety of microcosms from traditional longhouse villages of Sarawak to high-rises of Kuala Lumpur. If there was one thing that could unite all its ethical, religious and topographical differences, it is food. It has a good wide variety of taste bud tingling delicacies which not only include the big platter of Asian dishes but a lot of different cuisines from different parts of the world too. Below are a few things that a person must do while on their Malaysia tour package.

Diving, Semporna Archipelago

Diving at this archipelago in Malaysia is a treat to any visitor. This place has some of the best underwater life forms that one can experience while below the sea level all covered up in a scuba suit. This magical place is, in my words, the heaven underwater and sure is a must go for all the cynical souls. For a fact, no one comes this way for the archipelago, despite them being stunning. It’s the world under the ocean that people crave for, here. It is also the first and foremost diving destination that is consistently voted amongst the best diving places in the world.

Snorkelling, Pulau Perhentian

The Perhentian waters are crystal clear, jungles here are thick and fertile and the beaches are full of blindingly white sand. For all the nocturnals, the night at the beach flaunts florescent shades of sea and bonfires while a million stars illuminate the velvet black fabric of darkness. Snorkelling is one of the best attractions on this island after the night beach party scenes. You're advised to carry ample of cash here as the islands don't have any ATMs or banks.

Trekking, Kelabit Highlands, Sarawak

Nestled at the Sarawak’s North Eastern corner, the hilly rainforests of Kelabit Highlands are placed right in between the north Indonesian state of East Kalimantan and Gunung Mulu National Park. The main activity that one can indulge themselves in here, apart from enjoying the calm atmosphere and the cool breeze is go trekking on these highlands’ small mountains. A lot of people have been known to come to this place specially to enjoy this heart pumping yet relatively safe sport.

Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, Sepilok

This is a rehabilitation centre for one of the closest species to the mankind, Orangutans. It is fun to watch them while sitting behind a glass partition as the play with each other, perform swinging skills and other stunts, all while comically stumbling into each other. They even have the platform where they let you feed these creatures with your own hand. The walking trails cover the whole are where you can enjoy a stroll while gazing at these creatures.

A little shopping at Kota Bharu, Kelantan

This place is full of the energy of a midsized city and has the compact and cosy feel of a small town, all at the same time. KB is the best base stop for exploring the city of Kelantan. The villages of this state are not too far and take about a day’s trip to explore them all. Art, culture and cuisine can all be found right in the city itself. This place is best to go for a little souvenir shopping while going back home from the Malaysia tour package.
