Lost Plane at Benoa Square

Once you arrive at Bali from the international airport moving towards the Nusa Dua, look at on your left side where you can find a large Boeing 737 beside the Dunkin Donuts. Some say that its a marketing gimmick by the restaurant owner while some say that the plane appeared overnight and stuck in this place. Since then nobody has claimed the plane but it has become a great tourist attraction in Bali.

Trunyan Necropolis

As per the Balinese Hindus tradition, bodies of the family members and friends are cremated after death. But in the Trunyan village which is located on the eastern side of the Batur lake, people neither cremate nor bury the bodies. They are known for wrapping the body and cover it with wooden cage. The body is then left under the ‘Taru Menyan’ tree to protect from the scavenging animals. The puzzling part of the entire process is that there is no odour of decomposed bodies and you can find skulls or bodies remains near the tree. Are you nervous?
